Knowing where to turn for help, information, and support is important.

Here at The New Life Center, we hope we can provide those things for you and be the support you need. You are important to us.

Our trained mentors are here to listen to your concerns, answer questions you may have, and provide referrals for services that are beyond our scope.

Our services are free of charge.

The New Life Center offers parenting classes for parents, grandparents, and care takers of all ages!

How does it work?

  1. Make an appointment with us! You can do this either by phone, email, or by clicking "book now" on our website.

  2. Fill out your intake paper work: upon arrival we will have you fill out some paper work so that we can have more information about you in order to serve you best.

  3. Our assistant director or a member of client services will select a curriculum based on your needs. These can depend on your child's age, current issues you may be facing in parenthood, or your interests.

  4. Enjoy your class!

Your trust is important to us. When you visit The New Life Center, we want you to know your information is safe with us.

All information is kept in the strictest confidence except as required by law to report or when necessary to protect you, or others against a threat of harm.

Mentoring

After completing your intake paperwork, you will be paired with a peer mentor, whom you will see each time you take a class. Your mentor is here to support you, listen to your concerns, and answer your questions. The New Life Center's staff and volunteers' desire is to help you meet the challenges of life. We do not have degrees in counseling, nor are we licensed by the state; therefore, the mentoring provided is not intended to be a substitute for professional counseling.

Court Approved!

The Court-Approved Program is offered by The New Life Center free of charge and gives you the opportunity to develop parenting skills in a program approved by our local court system.

Any parent that has been ordered by the court system or DCBS, has an open CPS case, or has had their lawyer suggest they take parenting classes participates in our Court-Approved Program.

All participants in the program will take eight core classes. The four remaining classes will be selected by our Assistant Director of Client Services to fit where you are in your parenting journey and address questions and/or concerns you may have.

Classes are once a week for 12 weeks. A letter of completion is provided.

Participants in the Court-Approved Program can simultaneously participate in Earn While You Learn with Baby Bucks. After you have successfully completed the 12-week Court-Approved Program, we encourage you to participate in the Earn While You Learn Program, if you meet the eligibility requirements.

The Earn While You Learn program is offered by The New Life Center free of charge and gives you to the opportunity to earn essential items for your child while developing parenting and life skills.

You are eligible to participate if you are currently pregnant, a father-to-be, or parenting a child under age 5.

The New Life Center offers a wide variety of classes and a video collection of more than 200 titles. The Assistant Director of Client Services will work with you to select a lesson plan that addresses your questions and concerns.

We like to call it Baby Bucks. You earn vouchers at each session you attend that you can redeem in our boutique for a wide assortment of baby clothes and other items your child needs. You can even store up your weekly Baby Bucks to earn large items (when available) such as new cribs and car seats, and gently used strollers, high chairs, as well as other items. We carry new and gently used clothing to size 5T.

There are over 200 classes available ranging from pregnancy, discipline, child safety, housekeeping, and many more. We also offer optional Bible studies. You and your mentor personalize a combination of lessons that are beneficial to you. You are free to complete as many classes as you choose (2 per week maximum), during the time you are eligible for the program.

If you need services beyond what we provide, we can recommend and refer you to additional organizations for further assistance.
