The New Life Center exists to educate, equip, and empower parents, caregivers, families, and individuals in all stages of life, to build healthy relationships with themselves and others while helping foster strong families. We seek to strengthen families and break generational cycles of oppression, illiteracy, poverty, and abuse. It is our mission to support women and their families regardless of age, race, religion, ethnic, social or economic background.

Knowing where to turn for help, information, and support is important. Here at The New Life Center, we hope we can provide those things for you and be the support you need. You are important to us. Our trained volunteers are here to listen to your concerns, answer questions you may have, and provide referrals for services that are beyond our scope. The New Life Center offers many types of services to help serve our community by providing education and resources to individuals and families. Support Classes
Support Classes
At The New Life Center, we offer a variety of classes to meet the various needs of our clients and their families. After completing your intake paperwork, you will be paired with a trained mentor. Your volunteer is here to support you, listen to your concerns, and answer your questions. At your first appointment, your mentor will sit and talk with you to see exactly which class fits your current situation. From there, we will choose the appropriate curriculum tailored to your needs. These classes also qualify you to earn points to use in our resource boutique. Classes = FREE items!

The New Life Center's staff and volunteers' desire is to help you meet the challenges of life. We do not have degrees in counseling, nor are we licensed by the state; therefore, the mentoring provided is not intended to be a substitute for professional counseling.

Court Approved Classes
Court Approved Classes
The Court-Approved Program is offered by The New Life Center free of charge and gives you the opportunity to develop parenting and coping skills in a program approved by our local court system.
Any parent that has been ordered by the court system or DCBS, has an open CPS case, or has had their lawyer suggest they take parenting classes may participate in our Court-Approved Program.
This program entails a required 12 classes. At your first appointment, you will be paired with a mentor who will sit and talk with you about your court case to find the perfect curriculum for you!

Resource Boutique
Resource Boutique
Our earn while you learn program is a great way to learn while also earning points to use in our boutique upstairs! As an incentive for attending mentoring, parenting classes, or support groups, we offer points that can be used to exchange for personal and child-related supplies. These can include clothes, diapers, wipes, shampoo, laundry detergent, baby-needs, bottles, etc.

The New Life Center now offers low-cost counseling for all ages, in all stages of life (individual & family). We offer both professional therapy and pastoral counseling for a variety of issues including:

- substance abuse assessments

Quarterly Events:
Every quarter The New Life Center puts on an event for our community to help us connect with new clients and find new ways to serve Bardstown! These events are fun-filled and usually include multiple family-friendly activities as well as giveaways. Join us in the fall, winter, spring, and summer for our awesome community events. Fundraisers: We have two fun fundraising events.
The Turkey Fun Run & Family Stroll
Every year on Thanksgiving morning we gather for a 5K race! We offer early registration as well as morning of registration. Join us for a morning of fun!
The Chocolate Extravaganza
Our biggest fundraiser of the year is the Chocolate Extravaganza in late-February! Get dressed up and come join us for a night filled with all of the chocolate treats you can eat, raffles, photo booths, and a silent auction!

Financial Support
Financial Support
An important way to support the center is financially. The New Life Center is a 501c3 non-profit. This means we do not receive any government funding or grants. All of our financial support comes from individuals, organizations, and churches. Any financial support we receive helps us to fulfill our mission by allowing us to purchase things such as new curriculum and necessary items for clients. as well as the daily operation of the Center. You can support the center financially either by giving a one-time gift or by becoming an NLC Partner through reoccurring giving.
Ways to Give:
- One-Time Gift - You can give via cash or check by either stopping by or mailing your gift to the center. Give online by clicking the "Give" button below
- Partnership - Become an NLC Partner by signing up for reoccurring giving. This can occur monthly, quarterly, or annually. By becoming an NLC Partner, you will receive a New Partner Packet (which includes information and an NLC gift), a quarterly newsletter with regular updates about center progress, as well as various perks for our main events.
There are two ways that you can register to become a partner:

Volunteering and Mentoring

The generous spirit of our volunteers has provided valuable support to The New Life Center, and have had a tremendous impact on our ministry. Regardless of your skills or experience, we can find a place for you. Church groups, work groups, and even families can assist us in vital ways. We welcome your efforts and thank you in advance for considering The New Life Center for your next individual or group service project.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Mentoring - Mentors meet with clients in one-on-one sessions and compassionately listen to clients needs and present Biblical answers.
- Administrative - Help with various office-related activities such as answering phones, greet clients, mailings, and computer work.
- Support Services - Assist in sorting, cleaning, and stocking donated clothing and baby supplies.
- Special Events - Help with the planning and execution of client-service oriented events, as well as our annual fundraising events, such as The Chocolate Extravaganza.

The New Life Center values prayer. Your spiritual support is vital to rebuilding broken families. You can get involved in transforming lives when you join our email prayer list and receive monthly updates and prayer requests.

Quarterly Events:
Every quarter The New Life Center puts on an event for our community to help us connect with new clients and find new ways to serve Bardstown! These events are fun-filled and usually include multiple family-friendly activities as well as giveaways. Get involved by serving, sponsoring, or attending one of these events.
Fundraisers:
We have 3 fundraisers currently. We have the Baby Bottle "Change for Change" campaign, The Turkey Fun Run and Family Stroll, and the Chocolate Extravaganza.
"Change For Change" Baby Bottle Campaign
• Pick start and end dates for your campaign (allowing 4 weeks in between).
• Request the number of bottles your group needs and pick them up at The New Life Center.
• Announce the fundraiser through provided bulletin inserts/flyers.
• Distribute the empty bottles, fill them with change, cash, or check, and collect them back by your designated end date. You can count the change and bring the empty bottles and a check to The New Life Center, or The New Life Center will count the change and tell you how much you raised!

Choose Life License Plate
Choose Life License Plate
It's simple. Just ask for the "CHOOSE LIFE" plate when renewing your auto registration. The plate will cost extra for two reasons: 1) there is a $10 donation to The New Life Center if the plate is purchased in Nelson County; and 2) the plate itself costs money for the state to offer. So, once the plate is purchased, the cost each year is just like any basic plate except there is a $10 donation added to it.
