The New Life Center, Inc. was incorporated, and received it's status as a 501c(3) in October 1998, and began as an outreach and educational support system for teenage mothers, being the concept of Father Pashcal Philips, a monk of the Abbey of Gethsemane.  At that time the Center offered free licensed childcare to the teenage mothers, enabling them to finish their education, as well as transportation, tutoring, advocacy, and outreach to the extended families.

In 2006, it was decided by the new board of directors that The New Life Center, Inc., would no longer operate as a child-care facility.  It would continue to reach out to those in crisis pregnancies, especially the teen population, but it's efforts would now include women of any age in a crisis situation, and their families.

In 2011, the center's mission was refined to focus on strengthening & supporting families through mentoring and parenting classes for both men and women.
